Weird Chain of Events...

Ever sit back and look at situations and discover a weird chain of events? Well, I was forced to this past weekend.

You all must know Andy by now. Let me clarify: He's the guy I'm always crying over in my past entries...

Yes, there is Robb, and all the other random guys spotted here and there...LOL! But, once upon a time, there was Andy. Sweet, precious, Andy. WAIT! I know him as sweet. I know him as precious. Those of you who had the pleasure of meeting him, might not think he's so precious. LOL...he's a little hard-nosed, if you will...Kind of rough around the edges...But MAN! He made me turn into a puddle of Carla from the very first time I laid eyes on him.

Yes, we dated. Then we broke up. Then we dated again, I shot myself in the foot, and we broke up. Well, then he deployed. He was supposed to be dating some chic like a month after we broke up, and then deployed two months after the break up, for a year.

I know you are like, ok, Carla, what's the point??? LOL...I'm getting to that. I just wanted to catch some folks up, and remind you guys of some things, first...Jerks! Geez...you know I'm a storyteller...You know that I take my time getting to the point, too...LOL!

Soooooo...Last Thursday, while running an errand, I saw this truck that looked like his...But, there was just something not right about it...I figured out quite quickly that it wasn't him...Some big, black man got out of it...LOL...Physically speaking, that is Andy's polar opposite!

Then, Friday morning, my phone was fried. I had to spend like so much time at Verizon to get it taken care of to have a brand new phone given to me...I was pissed! Soooooo...I didn't get to the bank like I had planned on Friday morning...So, I was forced to go after work and rush over before they closed...GRRRR! Well, as I was walking out of the bank...There it was: It was like the most intense moment, EVER! It was THE truck. No questions. It was just sitting there...I walked into this restaurant...and there he was. He was sitting there with some very normal, plain-Jane type. GROSS! Ugh...Me and all my make-up wearing, cleavage showing self. Unbelievable. Well, I immediately thought this was his girlfriend, of course. So, I didn't say anything, just left.

Now, fastforward to Saturday night. Tabitha called me out of the blue to see a movie with her...Well, I didn't have much else going on...sooooo...there I go. After the movie was done, I realized, I was hungry and wanted some sushi. I blew Tabitha's phone up. She didn't answer. I realized it was a little late to eat sushi anyway, soooooo...I was going to settle for a beer. Yeah, imagine that...Food instead of beer...SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN TO ME! Don't even think it, I don't have a problem with the sauce! I just wanted to a beer, and felt it was too late to eat...I went to Matsuri...OMG! DRAMA CENTRAL! Why does that place always present drama??? Who knows...Anyway...Let me get back to it...I went there because I only wanted the one beer. I didn't want to buy a whole six pack for one. I have houseguests all week, and they don't drink...Sooooo...I turn in to the parking lot of Matsuri's...OMG...there it is...THE TRUCK.

Now, WHAT are the odds of me seeing a truck that almost looks like his on Thursday, I run into him on Friday, and then, on Sat, the one place I wanted to go for beer, he's at?

Well, not knowing his state of mind, or what I would be walking into, and who he might be with, I decided leaving a note and not getting a beer would be the best thing. It was a simple note..."Hey, how ya doin, hope things are goin well for ya, weird for me to see your truck here, call if you want to, with my number...blah, blah, blah". Later I told a friend...he will either do one of two things: 1. Nothing, or 2. Just stop by.

He stopped by.

It was so nice to visit with him...He and I apologized for some things we had done to each other in our previous two relationships...He is NOT seeing anyone. He is like so different...It's funny how people change...

Had I not somehow fried my phone, had I not had an obligation at 1 on Friday, I would have gone to the bank early. I would not have seen his truck. Had I actually had plans on a Saturday night, instead of just chillin til Tab called, I would NOT have had the urge for a beer...I would never have seen his truck...No note, no visit...

How we left it: We decided we are going to keep in touch for the rest of his deployment (only two months) and then see from there...I'm not trying to put my life on hold because of one good visit which included some apologies and the revelation that we are wanting the same things in life, AND that we are still totally attracted to each other!
Love some of you...
